Knowledge Tree Events provide attendees with fun and educational activities for learners of all ages!

STEM Challenge

Knowledge Tree has partnered with University of Memphis to create the STEM Challenge. Students work in teams to complete monthly challenges issued by the University of Memphis Engineering Department Ambassadors. Students will be be introduced to basic engineering principles such as:

  • Brainstorming/planning
  • Testing of multiple variables
  • Data collection
  • Using teamwork and problem-solving skills to win the challenge!

What is STEM? STEM, an acronym for Science Technology Engineering and Math education, is not only an area of study but also a way of teaching and learning. STEM programs emphasize innovation, problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity. STEM education is focused in project-based and collaborative learning along with solving real-world problems. The Department of Education, in association with the National Science Foundation and the Smithsonian Institution, are leading efforts to coordinate and streamline federal efforts to improve STEM education across the country.
Everyday we are creating new technology, making new scientific discoveries, and pushing the limits of human understanding. There are more and more schools becoming STEM Academies, creating a focused education in these four areas. It is a belief that the next generation will surpass its previous. We have made leaps and bounds in Science and Technology in the last century and the next is looking to be just as extraordinary and our children need to be prepared.

This is not just any shopping day either! Each store will be hosting a Luau for all of you! Each store will have treats, door prizes, and free give-aways throughout the day! Vendor representatives will also be there to show off their hot, new products! Teacher Appreciation Day is all about you, so, help us celebrate YOU by participating at your favorite store location!

Private Shopping Days

Attention Principals and Financial Secretaries:

Are your teachers tired of the long lines and crazy crowds of the Back to School season? Would they rather shop with only their co-workers? Are they tired of having to fight for attention from busy sales associates? Then book a Private Shopping Day for your School! Your teachers will be able to come in on a certain day, either before the store opens or after the store closes, and shop. You will receive personal, individualized attention from the store associates, shorter lines, and only your teachers! Private Shopping Days would also include some tasty treats and a free gift for each teacher.

It’s so easy to book your very own Private Shopping Day! Have the Principal or Financial Secretary contact the Store Manager at the location you wish to shop at and set a date and time for your school to invade Knowledge Tree!
