Is your child ready for their upcoming school year? Did you know that during the Summer Break students forget more then 50% of the material they learned in the previous school year? Are you looking for fun ways to help your child retain the knowledge they’ve already gained and prepare them for what’s to come?
Learning Resources has just the kit for you!
The Readiness Kits include a Parent’s Guide, an Activity Book, and all the manipulatives you need! The kits are designed to prepare your child for the upcoming school year using concepts they already know combined with concepts they will be learning, helping them to prepare for the new school year.
Carla VanSchaick is the mother of a soon to be Kindergartener who has Aspergers. She was given the chance to use the All Ready for Kindergarten Kit for a few weeks with her daughter. VanSchaick explained: “My daughter is a very visual learner. The bright colors were inviting. She never got bored because there is so much to do. My child has Aspergers and this kept her attention the entire time!”
VanSchaick said that her daughter “loved sorting the insects by type and color. She also enjoyed making words with the letters and string and assembling the shape puzzles.” As a parent, VanSchaick said that she was able to use the materials not only as the guides said but she was able to create other learning games. She said that they would roll the die and her daughter would have to count out that number of bugs to her.
As the mother of an autistic child, VanSchaick said “we often have trouble finding learning materials that she can grasp and enjoy. My daughter was able to grasp all concepts and truly learn, while having fun. I would definitely recommend this kit to other parents preparing their child for the upcoming school year. It is fun, inviting, and it captures and keeps the child’s attention. There is so much to do! This kit is fun for children and parents alike!”
The kits are available at your favorite Knowledge Tree location as well as on our website! As these are brand new from Learning Resources Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade are the only ones available.
